Social Media
NEHS has a number of social media outlets that work together to provide information to and facilitate interaction among NEHS members at the local, regional, and Society levels.
NEHS Museletter
NEHS Museletter, the official blog of NEHS, serves as a platform for in-depth conversation and exploration of ideas related to Society life. Museletter spotlights noteworthy activities and accomplishments by chapters and individual members, highlights Society opportunities, and offers each chapter an opportunity to showcase the unique literary landscape of their corner of the world.

The official NEHS Facebook page provides a timely and convenient way to share information and facilitate communication among chapters. All blog posts, NEHSXpress mailings, and other important announcements appear on the Facebook page. Additional features include interesting links, Society events, and pictures and video of chapters in action.
Additionally, check out our sister Society’s Humans of Sigma Tau Delta Facebook page, where we highlight members from both Sigma Tau Delta and NEHS in the style of Brandon Stanton’s Humans of New York street portrait series.

NEHS's Twitter feed provides members with another way to obtain Society news and connect with members around the globe.

In addition to images pertaining to the field of English, NEHS’s Instagram feed—a joint account with Sigma Tau Delta named EnglishMatters—visually provides information on Society deadlines and opportunities, as well as highlighting our NEHS Museletter blog and other key Society announcements.
YouTube

NEHS's YouTube channel provides members with recruitment and promotional tools as well as Playlists featuring on-demand videos of NEHS Webinars and recordings of past NEHS Celebrity Takeovers.
#nehs4hs
Use NEHS’s Society hashtag, #nehs4hs, to follow Society postings and when you post about your own chapter events and activities across social media. The use of #EnglishMatters, our sister society Sigma Tau Delta’s hashtag, is also encouraged as we, too, report on English matters because all aspects of the field of English matter.

Policy for the Use of NEHS's Name on Social Media
As a general rule, NEHS follows Northern Illinois University's social media policies. Your name and/or handle on any of your chapter social media accounts may include "National English Honor Society" or NEHS; however, it must be clear that your account represents an individual chapter, not the organization as a whole. Additionally, we encourage you to follow the NEHS Editorial Style Guide when posting on social media.
