The Spring Awards Cycle (March 23 – April 6, 2026) is approaching quickly, and it offers a wide range of opportunities to recognize creativity, leadership, and excellence among all members of the National English Honor Society community. Early preparation for these opportunities is key: planning ahead means applications can be thoughtful and polished.
The Importance of Preparing Strong Applications
Strong award submissions very rarely happen at the last minute. Preparing early gives applicants time to review evaluation criteria, gather necessary supporting materials, draft and revise submissions, and seek feedback from peers and Advisors. We encourage Advisors and Chapter Officers to organize workshopping and peer review opportunities, and encourage member participation.
