The Emblem

The emblem of NEHS is a masterpiece of symbolism. At its heart is a royal blue globe encased in a unique, four-sided gold shield with gracefully curved corners. These four sides represent the core pillars of the English language arts—literature, writing, language, and media studies. The flowing lines suggest the seamless integration of these disciplines, highlighting the creativity that binds them together.

Inside the emblem’s circle, a symbol of perfection, lies an open book and a pen, traditional icons of the language arts. These elements celebrate the power and potential of words beautifully expressed. The royal blue background signifies creativity and inspiration, while the gold border stands for excellence and nobility of spirit. The entire figure is anchored by a torch at its base, illuminating the truth that literature, language, writing, and media bring to light.
